Alex was brought up in the UK, Canada and Germany the son of an army officer. He always had an enthusiasm for business and his interest in agriculture was developed through time spent on farm in Australia and various locations in the UK including Devon, the Yorkshire Dales and the Welsh borders.
He read Agriculture and Land and Farm Management at Harper Adams, where he spent a year on placement with Andersons and graduated with an Honours degree in 2008. Alex then joined Andersons in 2009 and became a Director in 2015. He acts for a variety of clients from large arable to family dairy farms and also undertakes Estate Management. Alex particularly enjoys working with upland/ hill farming businesses and helping any client to manage their business better.
Away from work Alex enjoys sports and particularly cycling, running and triathlon, all of which he undertakes so he can enjoy eating and drinking well with less guilt!
